If you’d like to join us making original, inspired music and help us portray veterans as the incredible people that they are, now is your chance to join the OE family. We are actively looking for our next group of talented veterans who have a good story, are willing to put in the effort, and are genuinely great people that are fun to be around.
For your submission, we’ll ask you to tell us a little bit about yourself, upload some media and provide some samples of your music...it's that simple. A rough recording is all we need for your music, but try to submit the best recordings you have available. Video links of performances, either recorded at home or live in front of an audience are preferred. Don’t worry, we'll evaluate the recording on the quality of the talent, not the quality of the recording. Once we receive your application, we will review it and contact you to schedule an interview if we think you’d be a good fit for Operation Encore. Expect requests for interviews to go out in early June. Please note, if you are scheduled for an interview, you’ll be asked to verify your status as an active duty/Guard/Reserve member or a military veteran.
If you are selected for an interview, you will be asked to provide additional material (pics, other music, a well-written bio, any cover art) that can be used to create your Operation Encore EPK, so start preparing it now! Check out the EPK or our artist page for great examples.
All genres are welcome, but realize a lot of of our events will not have a backing band--you’ll have to be able to stand on your own. Ensure you provide us a good sample of your style, and ensure you include at least one original song. We focus on original music written and performed by veterans, so we want to see your songs and your talent, not covers. If you have a recordings of you playing live in front of a crowd, we definitely want to see it.
Also note, as an organization we don’t retain any rights to any content produced by our artists. It’s all owned by our artists and that applies to any original content you submit as part of your application. Operation Encore will not use any of your music without your consent.
