Meet Our Artists
Motivated by the 9/11 attacks and the conflicts in both Iraq and Afghanistan, Bob DePrato enlisted in the US Army in 2003. He joined with a sense of compassion, remained driven by a sense of adventure, and ultimately served out an entire career in Special Forces with a profound sense of duty to his country and his newfound brotherhood. He picked up a guitar after his first combat deployment to Iraq in 2007, a deployment in which he received the Purple Heart for injuries sustained by an enemy hand grenade. Following many surgeries as a result of that injury, he continued playing for the next decade, taking a cheap guitar with him on almost all of his travels throughout the world. Music ultimately became his passion and he is determined to use this passion to raise awareness about service members, veterans, and their families.
