About Tom Abbott:

A native of Eugene Oregon, Tom began playing guitar when a college friend failed to repay a $100 loan and Tom walked out of his house with an old Harmony F-hole guitar.  It's been downhill ever since, singing and playing with numerous "pilot" bands along the way, including The Lost Wingmen, Bulging Johnsons, Dead Theorists, Steal Wool, and Los Gringos.

Tom spent an almost 22-year career in the Air Force, flying A-10s and F-16s in the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.  Highlights include playing on a flatbed trailer in Saudi Arabia for the Troops days before the kickoff of Desert Storm, warming up for Quiet Riot and The Lt. Dan Band, and playing onstage with The Charlie Daniels Band.

Tom's influences range from Rock to Blues to Jazz and include a wide range of artists - from Joni Mitchell to the The Allman Brothers, Jeff Beck to Steve Earle.  His single "In Tent City" on Operation Encore is about flying A-10s in the original Gulf War.  Tom is a pilot for Southwest Airlines and lives in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
